3 Sneaky Tricks To A Flat Belly
Ok… so here’s the obvious. In order to lose belly fat you must exercise smarter and more frequently as well as slash your overall calorie consumption.
You also need to understand that ya need to focus on the “quality” of the food you’re eating, not just total amount of calories. I mean, eating 1,200 calories of candy is worse for you compared to eating 1,600 calories of lean chicken, yogurts, fruits and veggies. You would be much more likely to have a flat belly and firm figure with the 1,600 calorie diet eventhough it’s more calories.
Trick #1: Choose Foods That Make You Chew
Be aware of what you are eating and focus on that. Choose foods that you have to chew. I’m talking about salads, vegetables, fruits with skin, lean chicken and fish, sweet potatoes and almonds. Ditch the mashed potatoes, white flour pasta, soft drinks and fast food. Healthy foods that you have to chew are more nutrient dense with less calories.
Trick #2: – Take a Break
Many of my most successful clients swear by the “break in the middle rule”. Half-way through their meal, no matter what…they take a 5 minute break.
They realize that it takes time for the brain-gut connection to realize that one is full so they just stop and become aware of how their stomach feels, maybe engage in a conversation (if you’re eating out with someone or a group) or if their eating alone, take a sip of water and remember their goal of losing weight and getting fit. This works like a charm so try it this weekend!
Trick #3: Pop a Mint
Sounds silly but have you ever noticed when you have one of those after dinner mints, or a stick of sugar free gum or simply brush your teeth, there is NO WAY you are going to take another bite of something?
Next time when you’re dining out, when the person or group you’re with orders dessert, excuse yourself, go to the bathroom and pop a mint like a tic tac.
When you come back with a 2 calorie tic tac in your mouth and everyone else is sharing the 9,000 calorie double fudge-pant buster-waist expanding chocolate coma delight, you’ll be a happy camper!
